Outdoor wedding

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Thinking about having your wedding outdoors, well what a great idea because that is exactly what I did. Having your wedding outside also doesn’t cause any problems that you would normally think there would be.
It turns out that it was a lot cheaper in cost than it would have been to have an indoor wedding. Since we had such a nice surrounding, the beauty of nature all around us made it perfect decoration. The first thing on my agenda was to find some cheap wedding favors because I was on a very tight budget. Instead of having the wedding ceremony and a reception on a beach or in the garden, I chose to have it in the park. I was surprised at all the parks available for weddings.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside make sure to plan in case the weather turns nasty. Make sure to at least home some cover in case that it starts to rain otherwise all of your guests will be soaked.

In our original wedding plans, we had a nice canopy set up for the reception and a amazing trellis for our ceremony. The only real decorations I wanted and needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. There were nice flowers and my table settings, thanks to the already present beauty of the park. By using artificial flowers I thought we may be able to avoid any uninvited guests, like bees. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful, they looked like the real deal. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. There are some spectacular practical wedding favors but the sun can turn your beautiful wedding cake into a gooey pool of confection.

As far as table decoration, I found so many fantastic favors for our reception. I had small park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a beach wedding favors. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding gifts and right away I fell in love with them. They were especially customized for the groom and bridal party. They put our faces on our cake topper, and all I had to do was send them a photo of me and my fiance. Who could ask for a better wedding favor then that. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Everything I ordered for our ceremony and reception was the best in wedding accessories, especially our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.

Besides the summery wedding favors that I gave to my guest I also went totally opposite with winter wedding favors that were as nice as summer favors. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.

There are incredible amount of unique wedding ideas there are out there. If and when you decide to plan your wedding, you will be amazed at vast amount of different wedding supplies that they have to offer. This would of helped in my planning if I would have known about all ideas on the computer. There is a large amount of themed weddings that are possible to have today, with all kinds of impressive accessories to make it perfect. I had to pick a wedding selection I would have to use of this unique wedding favor selection, I probably would have gone for a storybook wedding. I saw so many wedding favours and reception supplies for the fairy tale motif and was amazed at all of them. There are some beautiful tiaras too that would go great with the veil I like so much. That’s probably the one I would have chosen for my fairytale wedding.
If you could only see the beautiful little flower baskets and ring pillows there are. You can get a set of accessories that fit your wedding needs. There were baskets and pillows with lots of satin and lace that would be perfect for my storybook wedding, and even albums, guestbooks and unity candles that fit the theme. You would not have to worry about planning the wedding you always wanted, because of the huge selection they have to offer. To say thank you friends and family there are wedding favors to give as gifts. The one I liked the best was the carriage candle and I liked it so much that I knew I would have had to have one for myself. They have storybook place card holders that look like castles and fashionable picture frame place card holders also. There were some really nice unique wedding idea suggestions for other themed weddings too. Like the winter wonderland wedding, that was is truly awesome too. They have snowball place card holders, and unique wedding gift ideas that are snowmen tea lights and gorgeous winter votive candles in a gorgeous brownish colors and patterns. You can choose from a vast collection of seasonal themed weddings, even a country style wedding.

I saw amazing wedding cake toppers for vast kinds of wedding receptions and they also have ones for the couple with a sense of humor. You can also get whimsical wedding toppers that will give everyone a good laugh. I really loved the one I found in my search that implies that the bride is the boss, because she’s wearing his pants and the one where the bride has hooked the groom with a fishing pole. There are a great variety of sentimental toppers to select from.

Back in my day when we were going to get married there were not a lot choices, but it would have been great if they did. Because I definitely would have had my Cinderella wedding and made sure it was exactly what I dreamed it would be . Brides and grooms that are planning their wedding day have so many choices to make the wedding of their dreams. These days you can also find incredible unique wedding favors for all occasions with different kind of styles that all of your guests will enjoy. From summer to winter favours to different themes these are not only adorable but are also very affordable.

NATIONAL CYCLING CENTRES. Atlantic Canada/ Luc Arseneau. 200 Prom. Du Parc Drive for Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont.

Cycling is getting quite popular these days, not only do people cycle to work but they also do it for recreational purposes.  on a warm sunny day a great hobby is just to take your bike and go for a ride.  If you don’t have a partner to ride with it is a good idea to join a club such as the cycling club such as Cyclisme Bromont.  It is a great way to meet some new friends and to have your daily exercise.   Cycling is inexpensive but also a very trendy thing to do.

Wedding Bash

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

For most people a wedding is usually the biggest bash they’ll have to organize, and it is every couples dream to have the best party ever.  And what is a party without booze??? Alcohol is one of the more costly parts of weddings, so couples often ask themselves “Cash bar: Yay or Nay?”  Unfortunately for all those who are on a strict budget and were hoping to save on alcohol, having a cash bar is an ultimate no-no if you want to follow the rules of wedding etiquette. Remember, your wedding day is your wedding day, which means you have to be a gracious, kind and hospitable host and that includes paying for all the expenses.  Think about it, would you charge your friends for the alcohol when they come over for dinner? Probably not, so don’t do it at your wedding!  You don’t want people remembering your wedding as a cheap event where they had to pay extra to have some fun.

If you are on a tight budget you may want to consider the combination approach, where you would provide each guest with 2-3 drink tickets (any amount over that, they would have to pay themselves).  This will not be seen as cheap, but as a great way to encourage responsible drinking.  Also, another way to save on booze is to go and buy it yourself.  If you go to wineries and buy big amounts, often you will be able to get good deals, and if you choose to go to liquor stores you will be able to return any leftover alcohol.  However, if you do choose to go with the cash bar make sure that you let your guests know ahead of time, so no one is take by surprise. Cheers!
